Plain Remote Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 October 2026. These terms are in addition to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. The same agreement is shown in the app before first use.

Not affiliated with TV makers

Plain Remote is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Google or any other TV maker. Their names are used only to say which TVs it can work with, and are trademarks of their owners.

Your TVs, your network

Use Plain Remote only with TVs and players you own or are allowed to control, on the same Wi-Fi network. Some TVs need a setting turned on or a request accepted on screen before they respond.

Plain Remote Pro

Pro is a one time, non consumable in app purchase that unlocks the channel launcher, the phone keyboard, the touchpad and more than one TV. It is not a subscription and never renews, and can be restored with the same Apple Account.

Provided as is

PLAIN REMOTE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TV makers change their software, and no guarantee is made that every model, firmware or button will work, or keep working after a TV update. Keep the remote that came with your TV.
