Plain Remote

Control your TV from your iPhone over home Wi-Fi. Every button is free, with no ads, and Pro is a single one time payment instead of the weekly charges other remote apps ask for.

Coming soon to the App Store

What it does

Plain Remote is an independent app. It is not made or endorsed by Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio or Google.

Works with the TVs people own

Roku players and Roku TVs (including TCL, Hisense and Onn Roku models), Samsung smart TVs from 2016 on, LG webOS TVs, Vizio SmartCast TVs, and Google TV and Android TV models (including Philips, Sony, TCL and Hisense, and Chromecast with Google TV).

Finds your TV for you

Plain Remote looks for TVs on your Wi-Fi. Samsung and LG ask once to allow it, Vizio and Google TV show a code to type in, and Roku just works.

Every button, free

Direction pad, OK, home, back, play and pause, rewind and fast forward, volume, mute, power and channels. No ads and no weekly charges.

Type with your phone

Search on the TV with the iPhone keyboard instead of picking letters one at a time (Pro).

Channels and a touchpad

Open Netflix, YouTube and the rest from your phone, or swipe around the TV screen with the touchpad (Pro).

Pay once, never weekly

The remote is free for one TV. Pro is a single $4.99 payment for channels, the keyboard, the touchpad and every TV in the house.
