By downloading or using Plain QR, you agree to these terms and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
Plain QR reads QR codes and barcodes, explains what they contain, and offers actions such as opening a link, joining a Wi-Fi network or adding a contact. Nothing happens until you tap an action.
Nothing in Plain QR opens, joins, calls, sends or saves anything until you tap it. You alone decide whether to trust a code, and you are responsible for what you enter on any website or app a code leads to, and for the codes you make and share.
The link safety notes are automatic checks for common warning signs. They are a help, not a guarantee. A link with no warnings can still be harmful, and a link with a warning can be legitimate. Decide for yourself whether to trust a code, especially before entering passwords or payment details on any page it opens.
Plain QR offers a free 3 day trial that starts only when you tap Start free trial. Every feature works during the trial. When it ends, the app locks until you unlock it with a single one time in app purchase, billed through your Apple Account. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends. The unlock is not a subscription and never renews, and it can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple Account.
PLAIN QR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY. No guarantee is made that the app will detect every unsafe link or read every code.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThrasherApps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app, including loss arising from a link, network, contact or file you chose to open or use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the app shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the app and its in app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim, or fifty United States dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThrasherApps from any claim, liability, damage, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the app, your reliance on its output, or your breach of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Plain QR shows a user agreement the first time it opens, and you must tap I Agree before using the app. You can read it again at any time in Settings, User agreement. These terms are also linked from the App Store listing and from the app's welcome screen. They are in addition to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies and is linked from the welcome screen and Settings. Apple is not a party to these terms.
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
