By downloading or using Plain Auth, you agree to these terms and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
Plain Auth stores the setup keys websites give you when you turn on two factor sign in, and shows the matching time based or counter based codes. Codes are made on your device from its clock.
Most websites give you backup or recovery codes when you turn on two factor sign in. Keep them somewhere safe outside this app. If your device is lost, reset or replaced, or an account is removed from Plain Auth, those backup codes or the website's own recovery process may be the only way back into your account. iCloud backup helps but does not replace them.
Plain Auth is free to use and keeps up to 5 accounts. Plain Auth Pro is a single one time in app purchase, billed through your Apple Account, that adds unlimited accounts and iCloud backup and sync. It is not a subscription and never renews, and it can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple Account. Codes for accounts you have added keep working whether or not you buy Pro.
PLAIN AUTH IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON INFRINGEMENT. No guarantee is made that every website will accept the codes, or that stored accounts can never be lost, for example through a device failure, an iOS or iCloud problem, or a removed account.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThrasherApps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app, including lost access to any account.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the app shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the app and its in app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim, or fifty United States dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThrasherApps from any claim, liability, damage, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the app or your breach of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Plain Auth shows a user agreement the first time it opens, and you must tap I Agree before using the app. You can read it again at any time in Settings, User agreement. These terms are also linked from the App Store listing. They are in addition to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies and is linked from Settings and the Pro screen. Apple is not a party to these terms.
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
