Pause Meno is built privacy-first, because menopause symptoms are intimate health data. All of your data stays on your device. This policy explains exactly how your information is handled.
None. Pause Meno has no account, no login, no servers, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We never see your symptoms, cycle history, treatments, notes, or anything else you enter.
All symptom logs, hot flash counts, cycle events, treatments, notes, and settings are stored only on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData), protected with iOS Data Protection so it is encrypted at rest whenever your device is locked. The app does not transmit this data anywhere.
You can optionally require Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to open the app. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by iOS — the app never sees or stores your biometric data. The app also hides its contents in the app switcher so your health data isn't visible in snapshots.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Pause Meno requests read-only access to menstrual cycle, sleep, and heart rate data to show patterns alongside your symptoms. It never writes to Apple Health, and Health data is never copied off your device, stored by us, or included in exports. The app is fully usable without connecting Apple Health.
The only network connection the app makes is to Apple's App Store / StoreKit, to offer and verify the optional Pause Meno Pro purchase. These transactions are handled entirely by Apple; we never receive your payment details.
If you enable the daily check-in reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. It is off by default, and no notification data leaves your device.
The optional export feature and the doctor report create files on your device and share them only where you choose, via the standard iOS share sheet. These files contain your personal health data — share them only with people and places you trust.
Pause Meno does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
You can delete everything at any time from Settings → Delete all data, or by removing the app from your device.
