How to play, the game modes, and answers to common questions.
Prop the phone where everyone can see and hear it, pick a mode and a difficulty, and tap Start. Green means the floor is safe: walk around and do the challenge on screen. Orange is the countdown: 3, 2, 1, get your feet off the floor. Red means the floor is lava: stay on a cushion, the couch or a chair until it turns green again. Every round is a little faster than the last.
Classic runs for 3, 5 or 10 minutes, or until you stop, and counts how many lava floods you survive together. In Last One Standing the game pauses after each lava flood: tap Someone's out once for each player caught on the floor, then Next round. The last player left wins.
Little Kids has long warnings, slower rounds and no tricks. Family adds the odd fake out, where the countdown ends with Just kidding. Chaos has short warnings, more fake outs, and sometimes lava arrives with almost no warning.
Turn the volume up with the side buttons. Lava Dash plays even when the ring switch is on silent. Check that Sound effects and Music are on in Settings inside the app.
Tap Remove Ads on the main menu. It is a single payment, not a subscription, and turns off ads on every device signed in to your Apple Account.
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchase, making sure you are signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy it.
Yes. Choose Ask App Not to Track when Lava Dash asks, or go to iPhone Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. You will still see ads, just not personalized ones. See the Privacy Policy.
Lava Dash is meant to be played with a grown up in the room. Clear a space first, keep away from stairs, glass and sharp corners, and avoid climbing on anything that could tip over.
