FieldWatt is built to work on solar farms with zero connectivity, so it is offline and private by design. We collect nothing. This policy explains exactly how your information is handled.
None. FieldWatt has no account, no login, no servers, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We never see your calculations, your site data, your forms, your photos, or anything else you do in the app.
Company, crew, and site profiles, equipment specs, completed forms, scanned receipts, photos, signatures, and generated PDFs are stored only on your device inside the app's own container. Deleting the app deletes them. Nothing is synced, uploaded, or backed up by us anywhere.
FieldWatt asks for camera access only when you attach site photos to a form or scan a receipt. Receipt text reading (OCR) runs entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Images are never transmitted anywhere by the app.
FieldWatt includes an optional, off by default crew site log. When a technician turns it on and grants the Always location permission, the phone records the times it enters and leaves the technician's saved job sites. Only entry and exit events are recorded: no continuous position, routes, or off site locations. Events are stored on the device and leave it only two ways, both controlled by the user or their company: log emails the technician sends, and, if the company configures its own automation address, event posts to that company owned endpoint. We never receive any location data. Turning the feature off or revoking location permission in iOS Settings stops all monitoring immediately.
When you email or share a PDF, the app hands the document to Apple Mail or the iOS share sheet, addressed to recipients you configured. That send happens only when you tap it; documents queued while offline wait on your device until you choose to send them.
The app makes network connections in exactly two cases: to Apple's App Store / StoreKit, to offer and verify the optional FieldWatt Pro purchase (handled entirely by Apple; we never receive payment details), and, only if a company configures one, crew site log event posts to that company's own automation address as described above. There are no other connections, ever.
FieldWatt does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
